Partner Profile

Scott Ellis lived in Visalia for 18 years before he relocated and graduated from Fresno State University with a degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. He lectured part time in real estate courses at the College of the Canyons in Valencia, California. Scott is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California and a Certifed REO Broker.  Scott currently is selling assets for Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America and Indy Mac Bank (Currently known as One West Bank).  As President of Real Estate, Scott's ability to match opportunities with investors, sellers and buyers has made him the "Top Producing Broker," in Tulare County in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition Scott has personally closed over 3,000 units totaling almost a half-billion in residential, multi-family and commercial real estate.

Steve Duerre has been involved in the Property Management industry for 15 years. He began his career selling Multi Family units in Southern California for the largest Multi Family brokerage firm in the nation. Steve took a position in a small Property Management firm and within four years he was instrumental in increasing the management portfolio from 1,000 units to over 15,000 units with a staff of over 50 employees.

Steve Duerre co founded The Equity Group in 2002 with Scott Ellis, a native to the Central Valley. The firm achieved almost instant success and currently The Equity Group has close to 2,000 units under management and employs 10 office staff along with 16 on-site managers.
